Oh, how far baseball uniforms have come. When they were first introduced, back in 1849, baseball uniforms were made of wool pants, white flannel shirts, and straw hats. Along the way, there were many alterations and adaptations. The Chicago White Sox, at the instruction of unique owner Bill Veeck, donned Bermuda shorts in 1976. The Philadelphia Phillies rocked zippers on their jerseys in 1979. And the list goes on. And on.
