Sublimation vs Printing
What is the difference?
Silkscreen printing is a common method for customizing apparel. In screen printing, a special ink is applied to the surface of a t-shirt or another item and then the ink is cured so that it solidifies and remains on the fabric in the shape of the desired design. Screen printing is great for many applications, especially printing designs on cotton t-shirts — perfect for many uses. If you need matching or customized t-shirts for your community youth soccer team or recreational adult kickball league, screen printing is the way to go.
Our custom sports jerseys, on the other hand, are decorated using a method known as sublimation. Sublimation is, in fact, not really a form of printing. Actually, in sublimation the desired design is infused right into the fibers of the fabric itself, permanently dyeing the jersey.
